How to Transfer PSP Videos to a Memory Stick?
Insert a memory stick into the PSP, then connect the handheld to your computer. Go to Settings > USB Connection. Navigate to the MP_ROOT folder. Create one if it doesn't exist. Then go to (or create) the 100MNV01 folder. Drag and drop your videos into the folder.
PSP videos don't have to be in a specific PSP format, as long as they're a file type a PSP can read. If you can turn on your PSP and navigate the home menu, you can transfer PSP videos. Depending on the number of files you're transferring, this process can take two minutes or more.

Transferring PSP Videos to a Memory Stick Step-by-Step
- Insert a Memory Stick into the Memory Stick slot on the left side of the PSP. Depending on how many PSP videos you want it to hold, you may need to get a larger one than the stick that came with your system.
- Turn on the PSP.
- Plug a USB cable into the back of the PSP and into your PC or Mac. The USB cable needs to have a Mini-B connector on one end (this plugs into the PSP), and a standard USB connector on the other (this plugs into the computer).
- Scroll to the "Settings" icon on the home menu of your PSP.
- Find USB Connection in the Settings Menu. Press X. Your PSP will display the words "USB Mode" and your PC or Mac will recognize it as a USB storage device.

- There should be a folder called MP_ROOT on the PSP Memory Stick if you formatted it on your PSP; if not, create one.
- There should be a folder named 100MNV01 inside the MP_ROOT folder. If not, create one.
- Drag and drop your PSP videos into the folders just as you would save files in another folder on your computer. Video files go in the 100MNV01 folder.
- Disconnect your PSP by first clicking Safely Remove Hardware on the bottom menu bar of a PC, or by "ejecting" the drive on the Mac (drag the icon into the trash). Then unplug the USB cable and press the circle to return to the Home Menu.
- Watch your PSP videos by navigating to the Videos Menu on your PSP's XMB (or Home Menu), highlighting the video you want to watch, and pressing X.
